MD & DO Looking for alternatives to bring up low GPA

Good day!

Going a little crazy here.

I've been glued to the computer screen all day trying to figure out how to deal with my
c2.85 undergrad GPA. I was a communications major so no science gpa at the moment.
Graduated back in '07.

Lots of experience as EMT, shadowing etc.
Great references.

I've been pondering over a couple options so far.

Looking for some feedback.

First i'm looking at post bac pre med programs. Wondering if I ace my science classes (3.7+) and get a high MCAT score if I will then have a chance at MD?

Second i'm thinking of heading to grad school and again maintaining a high gpa. Not sure what for yet. Will a high graduate GPA help admissions forget about my subpar undergrad GPA?

I'm considering DO but my first choice is MD. I want to absolutely go for MD if i can. Nothing against DO.
