Hello,
I have many questions about what my choices and chances are.
Out of high school I went to a community college (was planning to transfer to a 4-year) but due to personal problems and having no clue about what to do as a career  I am now on my 4th year at the cc. and along those 4 years I got about 3 D's (in philosophy, and 2 history classes) and a low gpa (2.87). Since I was unsure of my major, I took only general education classes (those on the IGETC) and no pre-med requisites. I'm planning on attending the local state university this fall, but I did sign up for two pre-med courses at the cc. HOWEVER, I'm wondering if I should complete those two classes at the cc or just do other classes to pass the time until the uni admission (I have 1 spring semester to spend til then). I ask this because the general consensus of what I have read about cc's is that some med schools do not look at them favorably. I would rather just take filler classes and take the pre med reqs at the university but I hope I am not wasting more time by doing so! Thanks in advance for any help. Also, is it too early to volunteer now?
