Howdy,
I'm a Kinesiology major at Texas A&M University, and I'm trying to figure out if I should go for an MS or do a post-bac. Haven't even looked at taking the MCAT because in all honesty, I feel as though my chances are so poor that it's not worth the prep materials.
Not sure what goes into sGPA, but cGPA is 2.94. My semester GPA has remained above a 3.25 the past 3 semesters, but my sophomore year I screwed up and got a 1.7, and my freshman cGPA was a 2.5, so that didn't help either.
Extracurriculars include: Regiment Operations and Training Officer (8 hrs/week)
Corps Color Guard Training Officer (1-2 hrs/week)
Hospital CCU Volunteer (30 hours)
JROTC Volunteer (160 hours)
I pretty much gave up on medical school after sophomore year because of my poor GPA, but I'm wondering if this situation is possibly salvageable. Thanks in advance for any advice.
