So here is my situation, I have predicted that my GPA after all 4 years will not be able to get up to the 3.5 mark, it will be more around 3.2-3.3. However, I am currently doing research in a lab with 2 posters (both secondary author), and I am still continuing research in that lab hoping for more posters. I am also pursuing a Masters in Public Health and Research Outcomes. In the end I hope to apply for MD/PhD schools. My main question is, if I get an average MCAT score, I am aiming for anything above 30, would I even get past the screening process with my debilitating gpa? Also how much do med schools like to see research and additional degrees when it comes to applying?
Additional info:
The lab I research in is a Neuroscience lab, currently I am working on the adenosinergic modulation on Parkinsonion rat's.
Thank you in advanced for the input and help.
