4.0 GPA (major in Biomedical Engineering and Economics)
28T MCAT (12 PS, 6 V, 10 BS)
Korean background
Top 20 university
I have: interned with the World Health Organization, led a 2 month medical trip to Tanzania, interned with the Centers for Disease Control for a semester, two publications in international health journals (not first or second author, but my name is on them), have been awarded nearly $8,000 to do public health research projects in Bangladesh, India. Also volunteered with Doctors Without Borders in Kenya. I was a Finalist for the Rhodes Scholarship as well. I also have all the clinical experiences (400 hours volunteering, 200 hours shadowing), tons of ECs. I just got unlucky with my MCAT.... But do I have any shot at a top 20 school, even with that verbal (English is not my first language, Korean is, but still......). I guess the main question is, does my profile get looked at, even with all the activities? Thoughts anyone?
