Hey everyone so
I am currently a Sophomore at BC and I started out being pre-med with the hope of becoming a doctor etc. but I also had the passion for poli sci.
SO anyways my freshman year did not go as well as I planned for a number of reasons (difficulty of courses, bad roommate, indecisiveness, grandpa's death just personal things)
Freshman 1st semester I took: gen chem + lab, calculus, writing, psychology course, and bi 200 (bio (molecules and cells) class which i withdrew from) then 2nd semester i took gen chem II + lab, english II, painting, and an art history course (i know) this all amounted to a freshman gpa of 2.039 which is horrific.
I then decided to take a semester off of pre-med (actually dropping it) and sophomore fall semester year (right now) I am taking my poli sci major requirements and core requirements but I am thinking of going back to pre-med now that I had time off and contemplated.
Next spring semester I am thinking of taking the bio class I dropped plus another bio class (level 2 - ecology), 2 poli sci classes, and philosophy II (core)
Do you think taking a semester off and dropping pre-med was a bad move? How can I redeem myself and fulfill pre-med requirements for the rest of my undergrad years?
Thank you guys so much. Sorry for the rant. I am in dire need of your help!!
