Hello everyone,
I was wondering WAMC with these stats and what I should work on in the coming semester to increase my chances.
uGPA 3.5 from Baylor U.
gGPA 3.95 from the UNTHSC SMP program
MCAT:26
I've had multiple leadership positions through a multicultural organization and my fraternity.
No bench research
Clinical Research :1040 hours over six months in human diabetes/obesity research
- Have a paper that will be published in the schools journal (first author)
Shadowing:
40 hours internist
20 hours endocrinologist
Volunteering:
200 hours at Habitat for Humanity/ Meals on Wheels
Im a TX resident if thats important.
I will graduate with my M.S. in december so I have a semester to beef up my applications
What advice do you have other than adding hospital/clinical volunteering and an MCAT retake ( I already have these planned).
