My GPA: 3.63
- 25Q the first time (verbal:7, ps:9, bs:9), 25 the second time (got the score today...verbal: 6, ps:10, bs:9)
- I have volunteered at Mount Sinai Hospital (during a winter semester)
- I shadowed a pediatrician (during a winter semester)
- I am currently looking for a job in a research position
- I have many non medical volunteer hours which I accumulated while volunteering at a math and reading learning center and at a Jewish Community House
- I have worked at my university as a conference assistant for a couple of summers, worked for a book store, privately taught calculus, and have worked at a hospital in an entry level position.
- I have also been a TA for both biology and calculus at my university as well.

I tend to do/have done most of my volunteering and extracurricular activities during summer or winter breaks when I do not have class because I like to make sure I can give as much of my time as possible to academics with hurting the quality of my work. I studied a lot harder the 2nd time around for the MCAT and let myself down, I honestly thought I would have improved at least by 3 points but didn't.

I know my MCAT is not impressive and my GPA is ok....but what are the chances I would be able to get into an MD or even a DO school? I want to attend school in the North East of the US because I want to be close enough to home in case family emergencies arise and I am ever needed. Honest opinions and feedback is much appreciated and thank you in advance for your input and time.
