Hello all,

I am planning to apply this round to MD schools. I am majoring in Psychology, minoring in Biology, with a concentration in Behavioral Neuroscience at an Honors college (meaning I have a 4-year full-paid scholarship. Macaulay Honors College for those who know). I have 202 volunteer hours at a hospital, research experience from a biology lab since January (through which I will be on the paper when it is published , hopefully within a year), assisting and shadowing at a multi-practice medical office for 3 years, did study abroad, and some community service. Also, I am a diabetic and that is basically what my personal statement is about- how that led me to wanting to be a doctor, specifically an endocrinologist.

My cumulative GPA is 3.468, science GPA is 3.2, and my MCAT is 22.
I have already registered for the September MCAT and am currently studying. So far I have been watching the Gold Standard videos and taking notes. I plan to finish the videos (I have 2 left), review my notes, and then take AAMC tests until test day.

So, I have 2 questions:
1) What are my chances of an MD school? This includes low-tier schools like NYMC.
2) Should I apply now or wait until I get the results of the 2nd exam (mid-October)?
