My undergrad gpa was
overall: 3.13
science: 3.2
MCAT: 33 (9v/11p/33b), second time: 34 (11v/12p/11b)
Grad GPA: 4.0
I've done 300+ hours of clinical volunteering, 100+h surgery shadow, 100h+ pallative care shadow, 3 simultaneous research projects (1 poster award, 1 manuscript, 1 published), all of which were clinically relevant (cryogenics, osteoarthritis, seizure prediction).
I applied two years ago without the EC's and masters and was slammed with rejections. I'm not a big fan of the DO path. I'm just hoping on my EC's and masters pulling me in. Anyone have an opinion? I should at least try before applying to the Caribbean and DO schools.
