Hello everyone! Like most others, just looking for some help with my school list.
My MCAT is pretty low (8PS 9VS 11BS) 28
cGPA 3.88
sGPA 3.84
non-URM
Residence: Georgia (attend state school in GA)

I know most schools would be a reach since my MCAT may not even fall in their 10th percentile, but I'm going to try.

EC's
1. Lifeguard for 2 summers

2. MEDLIFE - non-profit organization that serves to bring medicine, education and development to impoverished communities in South America

3. research assistant at my university for 2 yrs 100+ hours

4. summer research internship at UAB's School of Medicine - 1 first author poster presentation

5. part of Special Olympics club for 3 years (set up social events for Special Olympics athletes and help them with training)

6. Mobile clinic trip in Peru for 1 week

7. shadowing neurosurgeon - 65 hours watched surgeries and patient interaction (I haven't shadowed any other specialties, so I'm not sure if that looks bad)

8. resident assistant - 2 yrs

9. volunteer at local hospital in the Emergency Department - 100+ hours
patient contact, mostly worked with nurses, some administrative duties (stocking rooms, answering phones, filing paperwork)

10. homeless shelter volunteer - 100+ hours bring a meal once a month, provide childcare while single mothers attend workshops to develop skills, bring in speakers from my university's career center

11. tutoring disadvantaged youth - 100+ hours

12. biology TA - 1 yr

just started volunteering at free clinic but I wasn't going to put that on my application, since I have very few hours (nothing extensive to talk about) and I already filled up 15 spots

Awards:
Zell Miller Scholarship that covers my tuition at my university, but this is a scholarship that most GA residents have (so it's not very prestigious/impressive or anything)

Student of the Year at my residence hall (but again not prestigious/impressive)
I did list them on my application though

Albany
Rosalind Franklin
Creighton
Drexel
Emory (extreme reach)
GWU
Georgetown
Hofstra
Jefferson
Medical College of Georgia
Mercer
Medical College of Wisconsin
NYMC
OHSU
Ohio State
Rush
St. Louis
Temple
U of Alabama Birmingham (hoping my internship here may help)
U of Nebraska (strong ties to the state)
U of Miami
U or Cincinnati
Tufts
U of Virginia
U of Illinois at Chicago (strong ties to the state)
Rochester
Tulane
Virginia Commonwealth
Oakland

Any advice is welcome :)
