I just graduated today, and I plan to apply to medical school (but not this cycle). I have a pretty low science GPA but a decent cumulative one. My science GPA is about a 3.0, while my cumulative is about a 3.5. I also have a slight dip in my grades because I got 2 A-'s in Microbiology and Physiology in Junior year, but I ended up getting 2 B's in Physics I and Biochemistry in Senior year. I know my chances are really low right now because of my awful GPA, but if I take around 4-6 post-bacc courses at a community colleges, ace them all, and get a good MCAT score, how good will my chances be?
Also, is the dip in grades in Senior year considered a downward trend? And I also have worked as a receptionist in a clinical setting (the laboratory department in my student health center) and have volunteered to administer anonymous oral HIV tests to other students. Do these positions count as clinical experience?
