-Shadowed ~60 hours
-Worked at MD Anderson past 2 Summers in the Department of Infectious Disease working under the Chair of the Department. Did clinical research -- possible publication.
-Volunteer at Hospital 1 Semester ~60 Hours. Break for MCAT studying, should do about ~60 more next semester.
-Medical Mission Trip to the Middle East past Summer (10 days). toured/visited clinics and served as a guide and interpreter for many of the American doctors and students who went with us [I am from the Middle East - in touch with my roots]
-Student Liaison for H.O.M.E.- Health Outreach to the Middle East. Medical aid to the middle east.
-Freshman year worked in a research lab doing plant research. [total 1.5 years]
-Will have a VERY strong Personal Statement [been through a lot of things that continue to point me to the medical field]
-LOR not very solid right now, plan to get more in touch and build relationship with professors
Planning on taking MCAT in January.
Want to go to University of Texas @ Houston [preferred school], but will be applying to all Texas Schools and a few out of state schools. --yes i am a texas resident.
Any advice to boost my application/estimates as to what I need on MCAT [range]
