Hey everyone. I unsuccessfully applied to a few schools last cycle and this time around I'd like to get a better idea of what my chances are.
cGPA: 3.53
sGPA: 3.46
MCAT: 35Q (11PS / 13BS / 11VR)
Research - 2 years, no publications, 1 award/poster presentation
Shadowing - 70 hours spread across 4 specialties (28 DO, 42 MD)
Community Volunteering - 300-400 hours at a homeless shelter, 100 hours tutoring
Clinical Volunteering - 50 hours
Leadership - Officer position in one club
Additional Info - white, NV resident
I know clinical experience is a pretty big weak point of my application. Do you think the rest of my application is strong enough to make up for it or should I take a year off to get more hours in?
Thanks for your advice!
