I'm looking to hear some impartial thoughts on where I'm at and what -if anything- I can do to move forward.
I'm 21, and just spent two miserable years in a conservatory before being talked into trying an intro neuroscience class. It was an absolute breath of fresh air and shook up what I have been thinking about as far as my future.
So my question is, given the fact that I had committed years of my life to music, only to find that the sciences really pull me, and offer the stimulation conservatory classes don't, is it remotely feasible for me to attempt pre-med/med school?
Assuming yes, any suggestions on how to go about that? I've considered pursuing a neuroscience degree or leaving my little liberal arts school and going for a nursing program, with med school as an eventual goal. Is that realistic? Or am I discovering this all just a little too late?
At this point I have (with the exception of the neuro class) zero science classes at the college level. That's the unfortunate price I paid for becoming a conservatory student.
Thanks in advance.
