So I have lived in NM for the majority of my life. I attended elementary school like everyone else and was homeschooled for two years thereafter. At the age of 14 I started attending college full time (basically I started college in place of high school). I started out academically strong, but I let my grades slip slightly around my second year as puberty was kicking in.. Unfortunately much do I regret now, I had one semester as I was finishing up my BS degree where I basically gave up on myself and it absolutely killed my gpa. Because of the fact that I live in a somewhat rural community, for 3 of the 5 years that I was attending my university, I had to drive two hours each day to and from school (roughly 225 miles a day). I graduated in May of 2012 just days after my 19th b-day with two bacchelors degrees including a BS in biology / minor in chemistry and a BBA in finance. I spent a few months after graduating traveling the country and basically maturing. I have plenty of extra curriculars including 10 years of martial arts where I acquired leadership skills and had the opportunity to work with a variety of students with various disabilities. I have numerous hours shadowing doctors of various specialties and a summer's worth of experience working in an industrial chemistry lab. I am planning on taking my MCAT in April. Based on my current practice tests I'm expecting somewhere in the range of 30 to 34. So to sum it all up here are my stats:
cGPA: 3.479
sGPA: ~3.0-3.1 (My saving grace was my math.. I've taken through Calc 2 and had A's in every math class I've ever taken)
MCAT: I'm taking this in April.. expecting/hoping for 30-34 range
Member of 3 honor societies, as well as a full time participant in university's premed club & accounting/finance club
Extracurriculars: Shadowing experience: Famly Practice, General Surgery, Orthopedics, OB/GYN, Pediatrics. Martial arts (hoping for my blackbelt in the coming months). Volunteerism including volunteering with cancer center, community cleanup projects, book drives, food drives, etc.
Unique background including starting college at 14, graduating with two bachelors at 19, and maintaining full loads/overloads while having to drive 2 hours each way to and from school everyday (roughly 225 miles a day). If that counts for anything.. Anyways with all of that said assuming I score a 30. What are my realistic chances of getting into an MD school anywhere?? I'm not even asking for a top tier or medium tier school. I just want any US allopathic school.
