I have been lurking on the website for a while, but the oncoming MCAT (April date, I have a very liberal view of "home stretch) and the standards of this website have my brain a bit scrambled.
As far as my stats go: I'm 23, I've got a 3.60 undergrad GPA (good liberal arts school), 3.78 sGPA, and a 3.80 post-baccalaureate (didn't take my science classes as an undergrad, went to Georgetown post-bacc) GPA. My MCAT has been hovering between a 33-36 with a pretty even 11/11/11 split most of the time, but I've heard test day is enough to bump me down a couple.
My EC's (recent to earliest):
shadow a ped. oncologist (400 hours)
Medical Assistant at an orthopod (1000-1500 hours). Will have 2 articles at least in review by application time
Research assistant at a cancer center (300 hours). Will have 1 article published by app time.
Tutoring (400 hours)
Sunday school teaching (200 hours)
Research assistant in a psych lab (800 hours)
Barista(o?) (600 hours)
Started a chapter of a fraternity as an undergrad & raised ~1500$ for Haiti relief & breast cancer research.
Looking for some positive reinforcement to help me push on (and review Poiseuille's principle).
