- GPA 2.98
- will start studying for the MCAT soon
- Currently working as a Peace Corps Volunteer as a community health educator.
- Committee member for Anti Trafficking in Person while I'm working as PC Volunteer
- I don't have good LOR's. I could get a couple of good ones from a lab I worked as a
Research Assistant for a year. I am sure the PA and my direct supervisor (Lecturer)
would write decent ones.
- I have volunteer experiences at local hospitals (~ 2yrs).
- Fundraised $4500 for cancer research while bicycling ~4500 miles.
- Volunteered as an undergrad research assistant.
Awarded w/ a $1000 research grant (w/ grad student's help) from this.
I admitt I was a ****ty volunteer since I was suffering severly from depression and
had quit it unprofessionally, which I regret very much. So no LOR from this
experience :(
- I have worked as a lab prep member for almost 4 yrs during my undergrad.
I am way below the average applicants :( I seriously thought about giving up but I just can't give up yet. I will be 28 when I finish my PC service. I will seek post-bacc programs then.
I really appreciate your time reading my thread.
