Hey guys,
I graduated in Fall 2011 from UC Davis with a 3.4cgpa and a 3.1sgpa. Haven't taken the MCAT yet.
After graduating I got my CNA and worked in a nursing home for 6 months, and I'm currently an ER tech at a level 1 trauma center. During college I had about 200 hours of volunteer work at various departments at UCD Med Center. Was a research associate in the ER for 6 months or so - no publications though.
Wondering if my experience in the level 1 trauma center will be considered at all impressive by admissions, and possibly make up for a less than stellar science GPA.
Any idea of what I'll need on the MCAT to get in somewhere?
Also, I'm looking into shadowing a DO at the hospital I work at (UCSF Fresno).
Thanks in advance. Please be brutally honest.
