3.1 undergraduate cGPA (this is my biggest weakness here)
3.82 graduate GPA (MS in biology with research-based thesis which will lead to publication)
32P MCAT (12,9,11)

URM (Puerto Rican)
NY state resident

Strong research experience in both undergrad and grad school (no publications yet though)
Strong LORs from PIs, profs and docs shadowed
TA as a grad student
Decent ECs including mentoring, tutoring inner-city kids
Shadowing, volunteering, etc.


I really want to go MD, but I'm applying to several DO schools also. I would prefer to stay in the Mid-Atlantic / Northeast region as this is where my family is.
