Hi, I'm in my third year of five as a mechanical engineering major (not sure how much that matters).
cGPA 3.93
I have not yet taken MCAT.
No clinical volunteering.
Shadowing- 40 hours in orthopedics, 8 hours oncology.
Research- Working on my second semester in a bioengineering lab (cancer genomics).
Nonclinical volunteering- 20 hours at a church so far, also 10 hours of an educational chemistry program.
Employment- worked at a car dealer from high school to sophomore year, and then did research the next summer.
It might be hard to give me a good idea of my chances at this point, especially without MCAT. Besides that, is there any part of my experience that is particularly weak? Anything I should keep in mind for the next couple years? For next summer I am unsure if I should try to get an engineering internship or just spend the summer volunteering at a hospital and taking a class.
