Hi everyone! So I am in a bit of a sticky situation in terms of applying... I want to apply next summer to MD/ DO schools. Im well aware that with my stats I wont be going to one of the top tier schools... with a 3.3GPA. I have yet to take my MCATS and I know that that is also a huge deciding factor as well. I have great LORs from physicians and researchers... I jsut graduated from a good school and now have a post-bac position at the National Instutes of Health.
I have great EC's including two brigades abroad, shadowing, research positions, neuro-labs, NIH, volunteering tons of hours, president of a club, involvment in other clubs, etc.
I did have a lot of hardships that I wouldnt use as excuses of course, but in reality they did affect my grades (parents passing away before college, other personal family issues, etc) I want to prove that I am strong and how my grades have gone on an upward trend since these activities.
Hypothetically what would I need to get on my MCATS for a shot at DO/MD schools if there is any chances? Thanks for your help!
