I'm just wondering which schools are realistic for me. I know I'm too low for the Ivies, but my grandparents went to Yale so I may apply there.
I attend a large liberal arts college in Boston studying Biochemistry. 3.74 overall GPA, 3.76 science GPA. 32 MCAT (PS:11, VR: 10, BS:11). State of Residency: MA
ECs:
Roughly 2 years of synthetic organometallic research at my university. No publications though.
15 hours shadowing a GU Oncologist (Prostate specifically)
20 hours shadowing Interventional Radiologist
Spent one summer as a Clinical Research Intern at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute
Three years of volunteering with Habitat for Humanity. I have been on 5 service trips. I am also a building coordinator for the organization
Medical Supplies Director of the Timmy Global Health Branch on campus
Orchestra Member for 4 years
Lead an alternative spring break trip
EMT on campus (~170 hours)
Almost completed Brigham and Women's Medical Career Exploration Program
Deans list every semester of college
Will have a gap year and am currently training for an Ironman
Schools:
UMASS (This is my top school)
Yale (applying for family reasons, I know it's a huge reach)
Duke
NYU
Tulane
NY Medical College
Albany
Quinnipiac
Medical College of Wisconsin
Wake Forest
UVM
Loyola
Rochester
BU
Einstein
Case Western
Vanderbilt
Dartmouth
Mayo
I'd appreciate any feedback. Thanks.
