Considering a retake of my MCAT on September 11th. I really want around a 35 to boost my chances at some of the top-tier programs.
3.91/3.85 cum/science GPA in an honors program
Strong ECs, research heavy:
3 first author publications (case studies and textbook chapter)
1 second author publication
Summer spent as research assistant at duke
EMT at my schools health center (700 hrs)
1 summer as EMT for a medical transport company
~200 shadowing hours (clinic and OR)
1 semester - SI leader (like a TA)
Other student organizations and non-clinical volunteering
School list:
Duke
WashU
St. Louis university
UNC
ECU
VCU
MUSC
Wake Forest
Vanderbilt
Open to more suggestions. Obviously that list is much more applicable to someone with a 35, which I think is reasonable. Any help with some safer schools? NC resident.
