So, I am currently a graduate student pursuing an MPH, prior to that, I completed my undergraduate work in dietetics and I will be a dietitian in a month or so. I was really involved in student government and philanthropy in undergrad and had several opportunities to work internationally providing healthcare and healthcare training. My undergrad GPA was a 3.62, I have not yet taken the MCAT, though I have taken all med school prerequisite courses except physics. So basically, I'm curious if I would be a strong applicant. I'm pursuing my graduate degree at the university where I would like to attend medical school, will this improve my chances? I chose to work on a graduate degree first because I am genuinely interested in public health and would like to gain more experience working internationally before I apply for med school. I have had close to 1300 clinical hours in a hospital setting, and I am most interested in working with underserved populations.
Thank you!
