MD International, do i meet requirements?

Hi,

I'm not sure this is the right place for a post such as this, please redirect me if this is not the case.

I am currently attending med school in Sweden. The school, Karolinska Institute, is regarded as one of the best in the world(top 25 roughly), although I doubt this has any significance whatsoever. Med school in Sweden is 5,5 years and does not require an undergraduate degree for acceptance. However, after 3 years one obtains a bachelors degree. It consists of 2 years of preclinical studies, while the third year is more clinically oriented.

Since I am interested in pursuing a medical career in the US I'm wondering if it is possible for me to gain acceptance into an american med school. Based on my rather brief search on the internet, I've come to understand that the requirements differ vastly between schools. Generally though, schools seem to require 1 year of undergraduate education in chemistry, biology english etc. How would a degree such as mine be viewed? I'm not picky with regards to what school I want to attend, any school in the US would be fine.

I've already passed step 1 with a stellar score(>250), and the main reason I want to attend medical school in the U.S is so that I can be competitive for specialties more to my liking. I'm willing to sacrifice the ~2 years this will set me back in time for residency. I haven't done the MCAT yet, since I'm currently just trying to figure out if this is possible at all.

I realize that my situation might be quite unusual, so I don't expect much from this thread. Nevertheless, if you guys have any suggestions as to whom I should try to contact for more information, please share them with me.
