I'm currently finishing up a MSc in Epidemiology & Biostatistics, overall great ECs and leadership, international volunteer and clinic experience, great research productivity & scholarships, Resident Advisor for 2 years (still am), teaching assistantship, etc. etc. etc.
I wrote the MCAT last summer after self-studying (did not have the pre-req courses other than bio/physio + labs) and scored a 7/8/9 (verbal/physical/biological) - 24O.
I am returning to my undergraduate school to finish pre-requisites (chemistry, physics, ochem) in 1 year (will be done by June, 2014).
I am currently scheduled for an August 22nd MCAT, but I fear that I'll average around the same score again - my thesis defence is on the 20th, and I have two exams on the 7th and the 17th.
I'm wondering if I should cancel my MCAT, apply this year to DO schools, and rewrite the MCAT next summer after courses are done (if things don't work out).
What do you think my chances at a DO school would be? :)
