Hello. I am an undergraduate looking to enter an M.D. - Ph.D program and was wondering about your experiences of getting in/rejected. Also, how many research projects do you need to be involved in before they even look at you? I'm studying to get ready for the MCAT and pushing for as close to a 4.0 as possible. (I have a 3.6 right now). Do any of you have tips and/or warnings about what I'm getting into? I wanted to become a research-physician so I could do research to try and benefit people in the future and help people right now at the same time. Is that a bit too naiive of me to ask? Reading about the process in theory is so different from the real thing that I want to know what people actually went through so that I don't end up making the wrong career choice. My goal was to get a Ph.D in Regenerative Medicine and an M.D. in either Oncology or Neurology if possible.
