Hi everyone,
Thank you for checking out my thread and I hope that you can give me some advice/comfort my worrying. I go to school in Texas and have a MCAT score of 30 and a GPA of 3.96. The problem I have is that it is unbalanced, 12 PS 10 V 8 BS.
So 3 questions:
1. How bad is the 8 on BS? I have a very high GPA and have gotten A's in all my bio courses so will this make the 8 look better? I also have good EC (shadowing, volunteering, leadership positions, research). Will schools screen me out for my 8? Is a 30 even a good enough score?
2. If I send my primary in within 2 weeks, is this still early enough to not be at a disadvantage?
3. Also, I am looking for recommendations for medical schools outside of Texas that fit my stats.
Basically, am I a good/strong applicant?
Thank you so much!!
