Alright guys, I could use some input on my chances for TCOM/UNTHSC.
I am a texas resident. I am only applying to TCOM. (maybe 4 out of state D.O. schools)
I am a senior in college and expect a 4.0 for my last year since they are all classes for my minor so my GPA should go to 3.8 at least. My primary app and secondary app have been submitted
cGPA 3.75
sGPA 3.64
MCAT: Pending (got around 28-31 on my AAMC practice tests)
LOR: 1 HPAC Letter (committee letter), 1 Chemistry prof. letter 1 D.O. Letter 1 Old boss at Orientation Letter maybe getting 1 letter from my humanities prof.
ECs: Leadership positions in numerous campus organizations, Executive officer of fraternity, Played soccer for all my life (do it to relax), very involved with on-campus activities.
Shadowing: 150+ hours shadowing a D.O. and a P.A. in primary care setting. (only reason that I shadowed the P.A. was to see the differences in style).
Volunteering: 40 hours in local free clinic 60 hours non-clinical (church, fraternity, etc.)
Research: Currently volunteering for a biochemistry research lab. Started this summer but will continue throughout the school year. (great opportunity)

Well that is the bare bones of how my app looks like. I guess the serious concern with my app is that I am a "non-resident alien" meaning that I dont have U.S. citizenship or U.S. residency. I dont have a visa status like J-1 or F-1 because I am from Mexico. Originally came here at age 6 and have since stayed here. I wont go into too much details and digress but thanks to a new government order I know have a social security number (work only), TX state ID, work visa.

I am thankful that TCOM is pretty much the only school in Texas that will accept me because TCOM is my #1 choice. I love the campus, I love the atmosphere, I love what they teach.

The biggest concern for me and the admissions committee (I would imagine) would be the question of paying for school. (Dont worry guys im doing research on that). I know I cant receive federal aid but I can receive private loans (my sister is a resident and can co-sign). I was wondering if any of yall would like to comment on my chances at achieving this feat or even better have any of yall gone through this already or know someone who has gone through this.

Sorry for this being lengthy. lol

Hey where there is a will there is a way right?
