This is my first time applying to medical school. I am Native American and Hispanic. I have limited volunteer experience because of my family. I am also a graduate student, with a years worth of teaching and research experience. I have been debating retaking the MCAT, but I am not sure it would be very beneficial. Any thoughts?
After reading a few other threads, I want to add a little more. I am a California resident, first of all, and graduated from a UC. Also, as I stated I have only about 20 hours or so of volunteer work. I have two sons, so I am just getting to a point of trying to fit more volunteer work in. If I do some this summer, will that be of any use this cycle?
