DO D.O. School: Am I doomed?

Hi everyone,

I completed my undergraduate and graduate programs 3 years ago and am now looking into getting into a D.O school anywhere I can get in across the U.S.

After graduating from my small private university, I double majored in Biology/Psychology with a minor in Chemistry and received an overall GPA of 3.09 and a science GPA of 3.2 or so (did not do well in my mandatory religion courses). After undergrad, I got a Master's in Molecular Biology with a GPA of 3.32.

The first 2 times it took the MCAT (3 years ago), I received a 20/O and 20/M (1st attempt: 10VR 6PS 4BS) (2nd attempt: 7VR 7PS 6BS).
I am planning on studying really hard and taking it again in April 2013 so I can apply in June 2013.

I worked in a blood bank lab in a hospital for my senior year of undergrad and then after getting my graduate degree, got a job in a pathology lab for 2 years. I did some molecular testing there but also ended up working with pathologists by helping them with their logistical problems in handling patient cases for about a year. I have also shadowed a D.O. (Anesthesiology) for about a 3 months.

My research experience was limited to research performed as part of my Master's program. As for non-clinical volunteer work, I have volunteered in many areas (food bank, Habitat for Humanity, hospitals, Race for the Cure, Kid's Hope, etc.) through my church, student government, and class officer roles.

I know my stats look pretty dismal but I was hoping to have a chance somewhere in the country given my additional degree and focus. Do I have a shot at getting accepted? If so, what ballpark MCAT score would keep me in the running to have a chance?

Thank you very much for taking your time to help me out with your insight...I appreciate it! :)
