Hi All,
I graduated with a BA in Psychology from a UC in 2009 and ever since graduation I've been taking pre-med classes at local Community Colleges to satisfy all the pre-reqs while working odd jobs to support myself. I feel that my hard stats are pretty good (c3.76, s3.86, 34 - 10vr 12bs 12ps) but my main concern is that I took all my BCMP classes at community colleges and the schools may look down upon that even though I did really well in them.
Here are my activities / experience list:
Academics:
Cumulative GPA: 3.76
BCMP GPA: 3.86
MCAT: 34 (10vr, 12bs, 12ps)
Clinical: been working for 9 months as an inter-facility transport EMT-B, 50hr/week shifts paid, still working there, so 1000+ hours of clinical/patient care experience.
Research: did a brief 3-month clinical trial research at state university medical center, no publications, 100 hours
Leadership: executive board member for my fraternity back in college
Others: deans list (but forgot to put that on my apps.. :( )
trains / fights mix martial arts for 4 years
odd jobs like restaurant server, working at starbucks
Eagle Scouts
There's really not too much I can change/add to my ECs except I can probably try to shadow or do a little more research due to limited schedule and trying to keep myself afloat financialy. Anyways, here's my school list. Please, any advice on adding/removing any schools is welcome. I just want to maximize my chances of getting accepted this year. Thank you so much for your help guys!
