Hi everyone, just wanted to get a quick consult on what you all think my chances are for getting into med school. I would love some advice on what kind of schools I would be aiming for, low, middle or high tier. Below are some of the things I've done thus far.
cGPA 3.66

Have not taken my MCAT yet (what do you guys think I should aim for to increase my chances)
Biochemistry major, Studio Art minor
Latina.
I spent 2 weeks in Ghana doing some service work where we set up a free clinic for a community and gave them public health talks. Here I was also able to shadow some doctors (General Practitioners, OBG/YN, Pharmacists, and even a dentist).
I also have shadowed in hospitals in Mexico when I go back to visit my family (Pediatric Neurologist, OBG/YN, Plastic Surgeon, Pediatricians in the delivery room)
I will be shadowing someone in the US next semester.
I have been working at a lab for a year now in two different projects: Cardiac stem cell research, Cardiovascular disease in diabetic patients. I have attended a national conference for my work in cardiac stem cells and I hope to get a publication out of my diabetic work I am doing this summer.
I really enjoy doing research and so I, along with some other students, have started a research club at my school where I hold a high leadership position.
I also play club soccer and am co-captain as well as treasurer.
As indicated by my minor, I really love art and I was thinking about doing a semester abroad.
I also spend some time tutoring middle school children.
My stepdad lost his job a year ago and things were really rough in my house and that put a bit of stress on my through taking orgo 1 and 2 (which is why my GPA suffered a bit).
