Hello,
I searched all internet to find a similar case to mine, but I was not successful, so now I am going to explain my situation here and hopefully someone with enough experience give me some advice. I went to a 2 year community college because I had a good scholarship from NSF and I was taking any classes that I could from philosophy to differential equations and astronomy and even biology; I ended up with 70 credit hours there and I graduated with highest distinction 4.0 and honors, so I decided to transfer to a 4 year university far from home majoring in physics and aerospace engineering, for some reasons that I just don't want to go through details here, I didn't do well at all after the first semester, I was taking 18 credits which I had to withdraw from one and for the rest 15 credits my GPA was 1.6 (only this second school) , after that I wanted to get back home and I went to a 4 year university close to home, and I started taking classes as an aerospace engineering major(astronautics) and after the first semester I declared a second major(physics) , I started doing well in my class and I got into the honors college and received many scholarships again, anyways; and I took o-chem here too and I got B's (in summer) , so now my GPA at my current school is 3.36, so in other words my GPA at first school was 4.0 (70 credits) , second school 1.6(15 credits) , 3.36 (40 credits) , now I won't graduate earlier than 2015 because I want to complete my physics degree requirements too, and I should add that I never had taken less than 17 credits per semester, I had 20 once , and also I have been working as a TA for freshmen and sophomore classes. I just wanted to know if you think I have any chances or because of my GPA from second school I should consider myself out of the race. I would really appreciate you advice, Thanks!
