I am just trying to finalize my school list for this upcoming cycle (2014). My stats are the following:
3.8 cGPA
3.85 sGPA
37 MCAT: 11V, 12P, 14B
I also shadowed surgeons, worked for a community health program, have been doing research for almost 2 years, and volunteered in the pediatric emergency room for about 6 months, and have some leadership positions. I am also a NJ resident. These are the schools I am thinking about as of now:
1. Columbia University
2. Harvard University
3. University of Pennsylvania
4. University of California- San Francisco
5. New York University
6. Stanford
7. Mount Sinai
8. University of Chicago
9. Boston University
10. Northwestern
11. Vanderbilt
12. Tufts
13. Yale
14. UMDNJ
15. NJMS
16. Einstein
17. Albany
18. Rochester
19. Stony Brook
20. UCLA
21. Pitt
22. Baylor
23. Drexel
I was wondering if this was a balanced enough list, and what you would think my chances would be at the higher and mid tiered schools. Thanks and good luck everyone!
