I'm applying MD/PhD this cycle. I have 1 publication, 5 journal articles in prep, 3 will be done by interview time. I will have an outstanding letter from my PI of whom I've worked with for 4 years (I've been his lab manager for 2 years), as well as pretty good other recommendation letters. I have volunteer experience at the hospital, shadowing experience (2 doctors), I have a start up company to fund my education, and I have a few scholarships I've earned in college. I'm in an honor society, a world champion at a synthetic biology competition, and an eagle scout. I have also been a teaching assistant, and have 5 or 6 posters, 3 of which I have presented at real conferences.
So that all sounds okay...until....
Science GPA: 3.6
Overall GPA: 3.67
Major GPA: 3.9
MCAT: taking it on June 20, but most likely will get between 30-31
I'm worried about my GPA and my MCAT score, which are all below the averages. What do you guys think? What are some MD/PhD programs that accept in this range? Ideas of likely schools I should aim for? Furthermore, does anyone know of MD/PhD average GPA and MCAT charts that list all the schools?
