Here is some suggested information to include in your thread. This is not an exhaustive list but should be considered the minimum to accurately help you:
-Stats
sGPA: 3.62
MCAT: 28O, second pending score from 5/11*
-Clinical volunteer activities
48 hours at hospital
-Research
100 hours on grant proposal, wrote abstract for this as well
-Employment
40 hours/week as a scribe in an ER, 10 months so far, still employed
Basically I'm a US resident adn citizen, but graduated from St. Andrews University in Scotland in 2011 and have spent the previous 2 years taking my prerequisites (Bio, Gen Chem, Org Chem and Physics). Biology's grades are pending this summer, but the other 3 averages at 3.62. I averaged a 31-33 on my tests for the most recent MCAT, but am waiting to hear back. Here's a list of my schools so far:
Virginia Commonwealth School of Medicine
Eastern Virginia Medical School
UVA
Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine
George Washington
University of Louisville
University of Florida
Albany
I'm largely looking at staying in-state (VA) for med school due to my undergrad, but its not by any means a requirement. So, what are other places you'd recommend applying? If you have any experience/knowledge in the matter, will my international undergrad hurt or help my application?
Thanks!:)
