alright...
very important question. I have contacted my lawyer who had no good advice on the matter due to the fact that he is uneducated in the specific background checks performed by medical schools.
At age 18 I was charged with youthful offender, which is supposed to be sealed in country court. Also, it is not the same as a juvenile record. Would this show up on a background check for medical school?
I have done some background checks on myself online and nothing showed up, however, I am not sure how reliable these are (obviously not as in depth as a medical school BGC.)
Has anyone else been in a similar position? There is really no such thing as expungement in Alabama, and Ive had two lawyers tell me it would be a waste of time.
HELP!!
