I am new to the site but have been reading quite a bit on here. I am a 28 year old non traditional student currently in the military but will be leaving by Spring 2013. I have terrible undergrad records from 10 years ago which drops my undergrad cGPA to a 2.45, I have an MA from OU with a 3.75 GPA, and I will be starting a post bacc full time in the spring to get all of the science pre-reqs and to retake a couple of Cs. I realize it may be dillusional to assume that if I work hard and earn A's for 3 semesters and nail the MCAT that I may have a shot. I have read that KU gives heavy preference to in-state residents, which gives me some hope.I also plan on spending any free time during my post-bacc volunteering and shadowing. Any thoughts? I don't care if they are negative or positive, I just appreciate any insight.
