First is the question of my chances, and whether or not it's necessary to retake MCAT
My score is 30P - 8V, 11 BS, 11PS, took in the summer of 2012.
My cGPA is 3.67 and sGPA is 3.58, (but go to a really competitive undergrad in California). I'm a California resident and an URM (financially, but I'm Asian).
Extracurriculars: Leadership roles in clubs, 200+ community service hours,100+ hours clinical experience, 2+ years research (pending pub). Took two years off of university to do volunteer work in a foreign country. Studied abroad for a semester.
I mainly want to go to California schools, but also want a shot at Texas or NY schools - any chances?
MCAT discussion: My practice tests were pretty much around what I actually did receive, which made me decide not to retake it, but since time is coming closer to applications in the summer, I've been thinking about it more. The earliest I could retake (after a 2 month re-studying period) would be mid-July, then submit app mid-August. Is this too late to apply?
What do you guys recommend?
