GPA: cGPA (3.3), sGPA (3.6)
Original GPA: cGPA (2.9), sGPA (2.9)
Post-bacc: cGPA(3.9), sGPA(3.9) ~80 hours
MCAT: 29 (8PS, 10VR, 11BS)
Clinical volunteer activities
Hospice > 300 hours
Shadowing ~30 hours (primary care MD and hospice DO)
EC's
Research as undergraduate in post-bacc for 2 years (might turn into a publication, might not)
I have been out of school for more than 15 years which makes me decrepit so have lots of unrelated EC's to write of including my previous engineering profession with publications, conference presentations, etc.
I believe I was financially disadvantaged but will not claim such status because I have gone on to a six figure income in my previous career which should not have hurt my current circumstances. I will write about it though but not in the personal statement. I am frankly ashamed of my performance on PS since I considered that to be my strength but since I felt BS and VR were my weak areas I spent more time on those than I should have, to the detriment of PS, but the score is what it is.
I am in-state Arizona so will apply to those MD schools, the DO schools in the state, AT-stills, Midwestern. I wll also apply to Florida schools such as FIU and UCF, and the DO school Nova. I have no problems applying broadly and no problems with moving. I obviously have preferences on where to live but I can take that into account.
Can someone assess my chances and recommend some additional MD and DO schools?
Thanks
